About me

My drumming journey began in 2004 at the age of fifteen, when I was first tutored by the esteemed musician Vaggelis Moulakakis of the Opera Conservatory. This was followed by private lessons from renowned drummers and educators such as Nikos Sidirokastritis, Ilias Doumanis and Marios Ioannou. I have since then participated in a multitude of drum clinics and seminars, featuring prominent drummers from both Greece and abroad, such as Dave Weckl, Dom Famularo, Thomas Lang, Gavin Harrison, Mike Mangini, Yiannis Stavropoulos, Spiro Dorizas, and more.

My professional career as a drummer, both in live performances and recordings, began in 2008. Since then, I have had the honor of collaborating with various respected local bands and artists. To find out more, please visit the Music section.

Teaching drums has been my primary focus for the past 11 years, during which I have assisted students of various ages, levels and backgrounds in their drumming endeavors. For more information concerning my teaching approach, or to book a free trial lesson, please visit the Lessons section.

My Teaching Philosophy

“My approach to teaching drums is rooted in fostering creativity, confidence, and a deep understanding of rhythm and musicality. I believe in adapting my methods to each student's unique goals and learning style, combining structured technique with inspiring musical exploration. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, my aim is to help you develop both your skills and your passion for drumming in a supportive and motivating environment.”

Rhythm is a language Rhythm is a powerful language of expression which can be used to evoke emotion and communicate meaning. By combining different beats, tempos, and sounds, one can create unique musical phrases. Furthermore, the ability to transcribe these musical phrases onto sheet music allows everyone to appreciate its beauty and power
Learning must be fun Learning drums should be fun, because rhythm is all about energy and expression. When students enjoy playing, they practice more and stay motivated. Drumming isn’t just about technique; it’s about feeling the groove and having a blast. If it’s not fun, you’re missing the beat.
All around drumming Exploring the different techniques and styles of drumming is an invaluable approach to learning, as it gives the student a more comprehensive understanding of the instrument. Not only that, but it also provides an enjoyable and stimulating way to learn, which is more likely to result in a rewarding experience.
